Our walk to these lands was to walk in the foot step of people of this land, it turned out that the song that was playing, was that the song of the song line that they were showing us at that moment in time. They play it when they check out the rock holes and move on the song line, we walked up here on an ancient land, I discovered that I was walking on a culture highway that has been walked on for more than fourty thousand years, listing to the song that would tell us the was to go, they live and breath the past, the present and still walk on into their future, I was with people that could show me the time that they have lived on this land, I would be proud of the link to the land to, it pleases me to be here to see a ancient culture today.” – Noonie

Just watching the weather on the news in the Northern territory around in uluru to see how the weather is and they said that there a heat wave coming thought starting from tomorrow for couple days. So the temperature starting from tomorrow is going to be 42 dragees hot. So that mean the sand on the ground is going to be 50 dragees hot as well because the sand get ready hot up here when it is a hot day. Also on top of that hot wind blowing thought out the day.

Well that not going to stop me reaching uluru and getting justice for everyone. I be walking in it tomorrow and going to push my self doing 40km, 50km or 60km. Hot or not it well not stop me walking because I know I can make this walk thought this heart wave going to start tomorrow. The love I have for my people and for my country and seening think start getting done in this country. Well give me the straight to push thought this heart wave starting from tomorrow.

I think mother earth is going to test me out and see if I can make it thought it. I know in my heart the old people a looking over me and they walk on this land in the heat. If they can do it I can doing it to.

I’m a Wajuk, Balardung, Kija and a Yulparitja man from the West of Australia. I will be walking across country from Matagarup/Heirrison Island in Perth to Parliament House in Canberra, following songlines and visiting communities along the way, where I will eventually be seeking audience with the Prime Minister and address the many injustices against the First Nations people of this land.
