Day 181: 6.30pm

Before we head back into the walk again tomorrow we decided to go for a ride back to country and see some of the lands scape over the mountain or hill’s in port Augusta east from it. We going for ride over the hill’s because we going to see some of our people in a town call hawkers who live out on a aboriginal home land where they ancients live.

Why we going for a ride is that some of our elders and our people trying to stop a nuclear waste dump being drop on they land. We going to see them to listen to they story, what being happening and why they trying to stop the state and federal government from dumping nuclear waste on they ancients land.

We being told they trying to stop a nuclear waste being dump on they land because of a song line and the first time i hear secret healing water. I want to go out to see our people in hawker town on the aboriginal homeland because I want to see this secret healing water and see want I can do to help them out and help stop this government trying to dump nuclear waste being drop on a secret healing water hole. So let go and see our people and see what we can do to help.

Day 181: 8.30am

I have a great idea this corporate Australia government should dump nuclear waste underneath Parliament house where they work so they can make love to it and set on it like no tomorrow. Don’t come here on our people land and try dump nuclear waste on our ancients land. We need to show more support to those who trying to stop nuclear waste on country.

Day 181: 12pm

I know a lot of people has been waiting for me to go for a swim in the ocean. Well today I ask kuyani/ adnyamathanah people who is traditional own of the punge secret healing water if it was o.k for me to go for a swim in it and let me heal my mind and body up. The traditional own of secret healing water giving me the o.k to go for a swim. The secret healing water is a women group. But the traditional elders women a loud me to go for a swim and let me heal my mind and body up.

After having a swim in the secret healing water. It make me realize how important this women secret healing ground is for the kuyani people who trying they best and making a stand against the federal and state government who decided to use this secret healing water to dump nuclear waste on it and around it because of the water.

I well make sure when I reach Canberra I be telling them all that all my people in this big country do not what nuclear waste on our ancients land. The healing secret water was amazing and beautiful to go for swim in and I thank the Kuyani/ Adnyamathanah elders and people for letting me go for a swim.

[EDIT from FB follower Sarah]: Hi Clinton, can you please change the tribe to Kuyani aka Adnyamathanha people or tribe, Pungha is not a tribe it is the name of the Waterhole there its Dreaming name is Pungha Pudanha water in Kuyani and Yungha Pudanha in Adnyamathanha. Kuyani is a part of Adnyamathanha one of a few groups that make up Adnyamathanha in the Flinders ranges and surrounding area. You must of misunderstood what Regina was saying, just take Pungha out as a tribe and put in Adnyamathanha. All is good. 😅 Good luck on you trip. God bless you all.

I’m a Wajuk, Balardung, Kija and a Yulparitja man from the West of Australia. I will be walking across country from Matagarup/Heirrison Island in Perth to Parliament House in Canberra, following songlines and visiting communities along the way, where I will eventually be seeking audience with the Prime Minister and address the many injustices against the First Nations people of this land.
