Day 335: 11am

[Admin Toby] Last night ‘Tent City’ in Martin Place that took care of the vulnerable and homeless for 10 months was disassembled peacefully before any incident could take place with police or state authorities.

Co-ordinator Lanz Priestley made certain all people who sheltered in Martin Place found alternative accommodation. The Tent City provided a safe communal place for over 200 people since December 2016 and countless people were fed.

We share our respect and amazement at Lanz’s determination to highlight the social inequality and housing crisis faced in every major city.

It a beautiful night in Sydney. Looking around and enjoy the beautiful view.

Day 335: 6pm

When I stand here and look at the Sydney harbour bridge. I think they should add the our flag to on the top for unity. But the government won’t what that because they what us divide and not stand together as one. Well I think it time for unity and time to stand together as one people for a better change for the future. I know you what that to.

Day 335: 8pm

Author: Clintonswalkforjustice

I’m a Wajuk, Balardung, Kija and a Yulparitja man from the West of Australia. I will be walking across country from Matagarup/Heirrison Island in Perth to Parliament House in Canberra, following songlines and visiting communities along the way, where I will eventually be seeking audience with the Prime Minister and address the many injustices against the First Nations people of this land.

  1. We walked with Clinton near Dublin SA. Here is the final version of a poem (posted earlier) written to further commemorate Clinton and the justice teams extraordinary achievement.

    LONG WALK FOR JUSTICE

From the west to the east

    We headed into the sun

    At times thirsty, sore, but

    Never deterred; we pressed

    On with conviction, that our

    Cause was just, moral,

Yet we knew within our hearts

    The difficulty of the challenge,

That our raw spirits were to be

    Presented to closed, cold minds,

    Just how to open them?

    Will this long walk, blistered,

    Swollen, frustrated by mechanical

    Problems; will this long walk,

    Revelatory, ecstatic, linking a

    Scattered nation across the land,

Will this trek for justice, supported

By so many, will it awaken the

Snug in power; who seem unmoved

    By our historic, ongoing travails,

Is this not the end of the journey?
