Jake – Campaign Organiser.
Jake has been a invaluable member of the preparation team, helping behind the scenes to get things organised for this massive endeavor. Jake also spends his spare time volunteering for WA Parks and Wildlife, rescuing entangled birds. He was also a pivotal member of the Shark Cull Protest group which succeeded in halting shark baiting in Western Australia.
We love you Jake!
Luke – Organiser Extraordinaire
Luke is an experienced justice campaigner, having been involved in the successful Shark Cull Protest group, Unions protesting, and currently the Frack Free Future campaign. Luke brings much needed experience and advice to the initial organisation of the Justice Walk.
Georgia – Your friendly Website / Twitter Administrator.
As a close friend of Support Team member Jake, Georgia put her hand up to help with Website Administration, Facebook group Admin, Content supplier, writer and editor. As a student majoring in Australian Indigenous Studies, she has protested the closure of WA communities since the beginning and wanted to have more of an active role in preventing this from happening. Clinton has welcomed Gee warmly and she hopes to continue to aid mob in the future.
Lisa – Facebook Admin & Media Delegation
If you’ve received a reply from the Facebook Group, it’s most likely been from Lisa. She performs the invaluable duty of replying to your messages and delegating media to relevant Support Team members. Originally from the UK, she was stunned by the inequalities in our society and as a result has become a regular attendee of Indigenous rights actions in Perth. She has been a supporter of Clinton’s Walk from the very beginning.
Lisa specifically wanted to share this picture of herself with her daughter because she believes the kids are the grass roots and we could change attitudes within one generation with the right inspirations.
Toby – Tee Shirts, Facebook Moderator, Organiser
From the other side of the country in Cairns and Darwin, Toby has been supporting the Walk after being motivated by the SOS campaign and Hierisson Island injunctions. Originally from the Barossa Valley in South Australia, he’s put his contacts to use in Media and Indigenous communities from Uluru, Adelaide and through networking on social media. Initially organinsing spring water for the crew’s central desert stretch, he took on designing shirts in conjunction with Lifewear to raise futher procceeds for the Walk, and hasn’t looked back since!
You’ve seen the bike and wondered who was riding it? Who’s been taking all the fabulous pictures of Clinton along the way? And who is keeping him company on his walk? That would be Noonie Raymond.
Ok, so who’s been driving the Justice Mobile with the trailer and all the gear, flying the flags on the back? That’s Garry Ashwin! Bush mechanic, tea maker, they guy who keeps the team level headed, that’s Garry.
