Australia needed a treaty with its Aboriginal population giving elders more control over their people, which would help address inequality and issues that the Indigenous people faced every day.

Many in the Aboriginal community had lost faith in the “Recognise” movement and just wanted a formal treaty in place, giving them the rights they needed to improve their lives and future of the race.

“It should have been done in 1788, 229 years ago and we are still waiting for it to happen,” he said. “The most thing I worry is see a lot of my people living homeless, watching the land being destroyed and my culture dying out.”

Day 242: 8pm

It a full moon tonight and i was trying to take a night photo showing me walking on the hwy to the next town. As noonie took this photo tonight there was a track driving pass as you can see on the left of the photo. Little as we know after Noonie took this photo we had a look at it and we notes a shinning light has showing it self on the right side of the photo. There was no light on this road as you can see it a dark road we are walking down. So me and noonie was thinking it mute be a Angle or our old people showing it self.

So we keep walking down the road further and then we started to see little light on the right in the bush and we notes this little light was a round a cross. That when we know that some one die on this road on the right side as you can see where the light is. So then we realizes it was are person spirit showing them self in this photo. We both look at each other and made the choose to walk it a bit faster down the road to get to the next town. There some crazy staff we see on this journey but this is not the first seeing spirit walking around at night on a full moon.

Day 238: 1.30pm

It was a great day today going out to Raukkan community meeting everyone and listen to all the story about Raukkan community and it history pass.

The most amazing think of been out their at Raukkan community was to see and meet in person to honor who pass way for all the amazing think he has done in he life Davis Unaipon.

David Unaipon was a well-known Indigenous Australian of the Ngarrindjeri people, a preacher, inventor and writer. Unaipon’s contribution to Australian society helped to break many Indigenous Australian stereotypes, and he is featured on the Australian $50 note in commemoration.

The one think I always learn from David Unaipon was his saying “As a full blood member of my race I think I may be the first – but I hope not to be the last to produce an enduring record of our customs, belief and imagining.”

From lunchtime to the end of the day for us. – Noonie

Days 161 & 162: Woomera

Day 161: 8.30am

Walking night time is amazing. Sometime I think how can I do something amazing walking a cross a big country at the age of 26 to 27 year old. When I was doing my night walk. I pull out my peace of my Uluru rock to pray to my old people and when I just pull it out a falling star fell from the sky and i was like that never happen before.

That when I knew they wanted me to make a wish. I cannot tell you what I wish for. But after that wish I started to feed different like something jump in me and I started to feel better and more happier on my walk. I think my old people wanted help me on not stressing to much and feel more happier and enjoy the walk more.

When I see that star fall from the sky that when I knew I needed to finish this walk of and get to Canberra fast as I can. But it well take time because I thinking of doing something amazing for next couple days before pushing it though on the walk. Day 162: 12pm

I’m walking why because I’m going to fight for justice for my people. I have walked and walking though a lot of community, station and homeland. I have sat down with my people, my elders, our children and my old people. I have listen, heard, felt the pain and seen the sadness in my people eye’s. I have seen the way how my people are living, and how things are not being done for them. But now I see a new hope and fight in our people and elders, tears of happiness when they see me walking into their communities. I now know I am not walking alone and my walk is not in vein as my people are joining me and standing and walking with me together we can do this to get justice for all of us.

Far away in this distance land, I walk this land proud and free, far away in a anther place, searching high and low far away from home.

Song by Archie roach

Day 149: 7pm

The start point a mine haulage road. Down the road I seen these yellow coloured flowers so I though I would get a close up, I was under attack by vampire flys. They even chased me down the road. One of the thinks I be asking the mayor of Port Augusta to see if it o.k if they can give me a hall for one night for a assembly meeting with the people of Port Augusta and for any one else who what to come to this assembly to listing what I’m going to say about what this walk is and why i pushing for unity with everyone who live here.

Also This assembly meeting i’m going to organize with the mayor is that every person with difference culture back around a welcoming to come. Day 149: 7.30pm

The landscape up to lunch, not a lot of trees but still look good. – Noonie

Days 134 & 135: Mount Willoughby Station

Day 134: 7.30am

After leaving the homestead yesterday, we stop in at Mount Willoughby Station. Once again the people we meet are good and friendly. We sit around a table and talk, we hear how the children were taken to the missions, and again hear of similar treatment, sorrow, the lifes work to comeback to the place of birth, the journey of a life to reconnect to country. Then to here that how their Lore is coming back here on country. The fulfillment of a Cultural man’s life and struggling, working hard to bring his family and his Culture back together as one again on his country. It never left his heart, he now lives it. The British Empire is not here but its laws it left behind in 1901, 1905, do not belong in our modern times, the governments of today model itself on and around a old and out dated system, they have done very little or nothing about to fix it. Culture and Cultural people have and still live on country today, there connection to their history of thousands and thousands of years lives today as strong as it was when the British come to this continent. With the British came death and destruction to these people. Today with what is going on in the middle East, with the death and destruction going on there, Australia should start getting it right here at home. All the people on this Continent are my people, think about who do you think are your people? Most people who come here have come to live a better life or have fled persecution in another country. Do you belong in the last century or do you wish to live in peace this century. This century we have to get it right here at home and stop persecuting the First Nations People on there land in there Country.

Perhaps we should ask the Australian Government for help, after all they are helping in the Middle East. To activity peace in our lifetime we have to start here in out own backyard. If you don’t think so, you are on the wrong Continent or in the wrong Century. Or you can go for government and drink a toast in order, to God, Queen and Country. We need to start getting it right at home no matter were we live.

I am standing on the ground here at this moment. I ask you to go outside and stand on the ground where you are, I ask you are we standing on the same planet we call earth our home. Welcome to my home. – Noonie

Day 134: 8am

It amazing walking at night. When I was walking at night just about 50meter from the team by my self walking a head. There was two white owl fly up to me and hover around me and i was like aye never send this before, They was just hovering there looking at me and then they fly away.

That when i realize the spirit was just making sure I alright and letting me know we watching over you. I never seen that before seeing two white owl hovering there looking at me. Walking at night in the middle of no where out in the bush doing 50km walking in birch black darkness with the star are out and the moon shining it amazing making understand more how my old people and ancient walk around all night because it a hole new different world walking at night.

(sounds like a weather report) The heavy rain was last night, I think we could have been washed of the road.

One think I learn about life is no matter how hard think get when you a fighting for something is to never give up on it, no matter what happens even if it get to hard for you because sooner or later you win in the end. It will show you how strong of a person you are and how strong your spirit is. This why i when on this walk for justice and i know I will reach Canberra and served justice for all who what justice to be served to this Corporate government.

That how strong I’m and not a feared of standing up for the truth because I believed in my self that I can make a difference and for all who live here. I’m proud to be a original person of this land we stand on and proud to be apart of a people who live here for over 100,000 year and i willing stand up for my people and for my culture survival.
