Day 242: 8pm

It a full moon tonight and i was trying to take a night photo showing me walking on the hwy to the next town. As noonie took this photo tonight there was a track driving pass as you can see on the left of the photo. Little as we know after Noonie took this photo we had a look at it and we notes a shinning light has showing it self on the right side of the photo. There was no light on this road as you can see it a dark road we are walking down. So me and noonie was thinking it mute be a Angle or our old people showing it self.

So we keep walking down the road further and then we started to see little light on the right in the bush and we notes this little light was a round a cross. That when we know that some one die on this road on the right side as you can see where the light is. So then we realizes it was are person spirit showing them self in this photo. We both look at each other and made the choose to walk it a bit faster down the road to get to the next town. There some crazy staff we see on this journey but this is not the first seeing spirit walking around at night on a full moon.

Day 240: 5pm

I been thinking about it all day today and I’m going do it. Just going to let everyone know after leaving Melbourne and walking to Sydney on the coast line and then on to Canberra. I have decided that I going to get a bag of Forrest seed and take it with me. So I can planet Forrest seed on the coast line all the way to Sydney where i be walking than planet seed from Sydney all the way to Canberra.

So in a couple of year this Forrest seed well grow into a Forrest tree. It be a trail of Forrest tree I have planet from Melbourne to Sydney on the coast than from Sydney to Canberra a trail. In a couple of year time I be retracting the walk again going over it. But in that time I be driving and i going plant tree again from Perth all the way to Melbourne. So From Perth to Kalgoorlie I be planting Forrest seed. Then from Kalgoorlie to port August it well be oranges and apples seed. Than from port Augusta to Melbourne it well be Forrest seed again.

So in couple of year time it well be a trail of tree from Perth all they way to Canberra showing people and future generation that I walk it thought that way and when you look it up on good map you well see a line of tree that well show you i walk it that way and i have planet them and on top it well look like a snake. I just what to give something back to this world and do it for the planet and wildlife.

On top if people get lost in the desert area they have a line full of trees of Oranges and apple to eat and it well help people with fluid. So I going do this from Melbourne to Sydney than on to Canberra I be planting a line full of Forrest seed and I going to plant this seed 1km a part. I wish I did this at the start but that o.k

What you guys think of this idea, I just what to give something back to his world before I die.

Day 240: 7pm

Day 240: 9pm

Jimmy Clements at the opening of the federal parliament in Canberra in 1927.
Photograph: Sam Hood/Collection of the State Library of New South Wales

[Admin Toby] On this day 9th May 1927 “Jimmy Clements and John Noble, made a big effort to turn up for the opening of the provisional parliament house in Canberra nine decades ago.

The Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House has marked the 90th anniversary with a special exhibition, featuring research by its historian Stephanie Pfennigwerth, on the two Indigenous men. Clements (Nangar or Yangar) and Noble were Wiradjuri men from southern New South Wales, both aged about 80.

Each walked at least 150km to the Federal Capital Territory before the arrival of the Duke and Duchess of York (later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth), who formally opened the new federal parliament on 9 May 1927.

They were well-known throughout New South Wales and the capital territory.

Non-Indigenous people knew Clements as “King Billy”, consistent with the condescending settler tradition of bestowing royal title upon blackfellas they considered compliant, important, peaceful or useful. He was a respected elder and Lore man – a “clever man” – who performed Wiradjuri “burbong” (initiation), and a showman with the boomerang and spear.

Noble, also a clever man, was, like Clements, a renowned performer at country shows and football matches with boomerangs. He liked to say things were “marvellous”.

Noble has shorter hair and a more closely cropped beard. This certainly describes Clements and paints a man whose act was performative – letting it be known sovereignty was never ceded, eyeballing the duke and courting of media attention.

The National Archives of Australia describes it as “possibly the first recorded instance of Aboriginal protest at Parliament House in Canberra”. It was the precursor to so much activism – from the 1938 Day of Mourning, the fight for recognition and much else in 1967, and the ongoing battle for land rights that manifested with the enduring tent embassy, just across the road, on Australia Day 1972.

The sign out front reads: Sovereignty never ceded.”

Day 241: 10am

We have left Coonalpyn and on our way out. – Noonie

Day 241: 10.30am

This illegal foreign government now attacking my country men and country women in two different way to take away our sovereign right and giving us less power over our lands.

One way is that this government is spending million of dollars of tax payer money on this recognition campaign. It to make people of Australia none first nation people think we what recognition and they doing this by showing you on our first nation football player, TV show and using our own people in political that we support recognition and that Australia should vote for it so we can have rights an be part of the constitution.

Put little you many know is that when my people come a part of a foreign constitution that was not from here we become British subject and what it dose it take away our sovereign right. My people what to let everyone know that we do not what recognition and we don’t support it. They a liein to everyone saying we support it but we don’t. We a sovereign people of this land and we what to keep our sovereign right and they are trying to take it away thought this recognition campaign you see on T.V with letter of R.

Second of all as you many know couple month back noongar won native title back thought the federal court and stop a deal between western Australia governments and South west land sea council. What it was is the western Australia government was trying to take away our native title in south west sell it of for 1.3 billion dollar and was trying to take our right to land an sovereign right way.

But back at home in Perth our people stood up and said no to this deal. Our people said we not give away our right for 1.3billion dollar and we going to keep our land. So noongar took western Australia government and South west land sea council to court and won. It took a year before hearing we won in court. But little we know is that the federal government was watching this case known that the western Australia was going to lose this case.

After a week later the federal court said native title stay and thought out the ILUA meaning Indigenous Land use agreement out the window ad native title stay in south west. A week later federal government in Canberra when on TV announced they was going to water down native title and give mining company more protection on land from native title. We what land right not mining Right.

The federal government in Canberra knew they was going to lose this case and now they trying to water down native title across Australia. So they can give more power to billion air over mining the land. What world are we living. What this government meat to be for the people or for this billion air. To me this government has lose it way and forgot who they mean to repcent when voted in.

So now you know this government is not for it people they for billion air and they attack my people in two different way. To take away our sovereign right and destroy native title a cross Australia to give more protection to billion air mining company.

This has to stop and now you know.

Day 241: 11am

Day 241: 6pm

Day 241: 8.30pm

As Many of you may already know or may not know I am Clinton Pryor “The Spirit Walker”.

I started my “Walk for Justice” on the 8th of September 2016, Leaving Perth I started of walking for the justice of my people for the Government forcing of their communities.

It became apparent very quickly that People of all backgrounds are suffering from the long treasonous hand of this corrupted corporate Government, this has now taken my walk to a complete new level and the walk for justice is now a walk for everyone in this country to come together and make a stand against this Government to have them removed or under control by culture council. To allow us to start again for the people and the land so that there will be a safe place for all our children to come and always be run by the people with a governing culture council to oversee and keep the government on the correct path so that what has happened here to our people can never happen again!

There will be a meeting well be held from the 19th to the 21st of May 2017 at the Victorian Tent Embassy at 8 Majorca Rd. Maryborough 3465. Helen Dodds Aboriginal Tent Embassy Victoria.

We are calling on all Sovereign Nations and descendents of the settlers across this great land to come to this meeting in Victoria in the first instance.

There will be more meetings to follow over the next few months for the preparation of what is decided to be done when we arrive at Canberra.

For years many of us have had great ideas to regain our land and our freedom but this Government have always either blocked or they back track on their promises with the agreements made!

Signally we have not had any success on any main stream level. Thus I put to everyone and the reason for this meeting is to bring the people from all over together and share the ideas and with discussion together we all need to continue to Canberra and face this Government head on and do not back down until they have been removed or under control by culture council and we can action our plans to start over in a fairer way for all people to live and enjoy life as it should be.

With all of us standing together with the one common cause, the power goes to the people. Government law no longer takes preference, People are now the law.
Once this has taken place and no doubt this will be discussed in the meetings, it is now they have gone because the people have stated so then the old borders can be put back and all countries can start to look after themselves again but under a new parliament as such elected by the people and Governed by a Cultural Council.

The need for all countries to be represented to have their say and to hear what is said by others is of the highest importance and will be the most important event to ever happen for this Country.

It in our best interest.

So Please come to this meeting or if you cannot come comment your email address so we can send you a copy of video voice recording to you about what happen at the meeting.

Day 238: 1.30pm

It was a great day today going out to Raukkan community meeting everyone and listen to all the story about Raukkan community and it history pass.

The most amazing think of been out their at Raukkan community was to see and meet in person to honor who pass way for all the amazing think he has done in he life Davis Unaipon.

David Unaipon was a well-known Indigenous Australian of the Ngarrindjeri people, a preacher, inventor and writer. Unaipon’s contribution to Australian society helped to break many Indigenous Australian stereotypes, and he is featured on the Australian $50 note in commemoration.

The one think I always learn from David Unaipon was his saying “As a full blood member of my race I think I may be the first – but I hope not to be the last to produce an enduring record of our customs, belief and imagining.”

Day 238: 11pm

We been for the last couple month have been walking none stop thought summer and our body are use to the summer heat. But now we need to train our body to get use to the cold.

When we get closer to the broader of Victoria, we going to start organizing think for Melbourne to start getting think ready for us when we walk into Melbourne. I hope that when we get into Melbourne it well be a power house for this walk to lift it up and get it out there. On top that a lot of the people of Melbourne well join us to march on the street for justice and for change. This is my first time going into Melbourne I never been there before. But I hope when we get there it well be something to remember.

Her grand mother try her best to stay a live to see me when I enter in her country area and was loving my walk because for what I was doing for our people. But she pass away from cancer. Before her grand mother pass away on her last day. She told Ashley hefron to keep a promises to her.

She told ashley hefron to go and come to see me to meet me and talk to me. I was sad to hear this story ashley told me that her grand mother was waiting for me and wanted to see me before she pass on. It breaking me and I was hurt in my heart to hear this.

I just wanted to let people know this walk I when on is not easy I have begin thought a lot of town, community, station and homeland and I have sat down and listen to this story and other issue as well. It is a hard road I’m walking and I’m carrying all this message with me to Canberra for the people and get justice for those who pass on. I only ask if you was walking this road you well understand. Put I’m here to help and I’m going to make sure to get justice for everyone no matter what.

– Garry

Day 239: 11pm

From lunchtime to the end of the day for us. – Noonie

Day 237: Leaving Murray Bridge

Breakfast stop with the mischievous BRETT – Garry

Day 237: 8am

[Admin Toby] ABORIGINAL SOVEREIGNTY, Justice, the Law and Land by Kevin Gilbert. Please download this FREE iBook, read and share, share share!

It contains a brilliant analysis of ‘reconciliation’, international obligations and the Draft Treaty. Published in 1987, it is absolutely current in the core context of where Aboriginal people are today, as we continue to advocate for our long-denied Sovereign Rights as the First Nations people of this continent.

This Aboriginal Sovereign Position, Legal Entitlement and Draft Treaty was written after consultation with Aboriginal Members of the Sovereign Aboriginal Coalition attended at Alice Springs on 19th to 21st June 1987, and incorporating the advice of the Aboriginal Sovereign Communities throughout these, our Sovereign Domains.

Day 237: 9am

We stayed at Arnold Gollan Waili for the night, then down to the Park and now heading out of Murray Bridge. – Noonie

Day 237: 9am

This system that this government has put on us all. It time we smash it down and rebuild it in a way for the people to control it. No more greedy man in suit to control our life and tell us how we should live it. We need a new system to be in place where this piece of a government need to be under control by the sovereign people and Australia people. It time for the governor general to leave Australia and be replace by a culture council who run by sovereign people from each country area and also run by our brother and sister who live here with us an who share this land with us. Aboriginal law must set on top of the white man law because our law is the law of the land.

As long the governor general is here who control the government we are all slave to a system that control our live. It time for the governor general to leave and be place by culture council who run and control by sovereign people and Australia people to. So this government dose not get out of hand or do what ever they like. Any law they try pass thought on us we as a people can stop it and tell them to take it back or change it. It time the power is giving back to the sovereign people that we lost 230 year ago. The time has come and it is the right time for this to happen. It cannot wait any longer or it well be to late for this to happen.

Day 237: 10am

On the Princess Highway on our way. – Noonie

Day 237: 12pm

Time to head on the hwy way on Princess hwy. We left Murray Bridge and now heading to the next town call Tailem Bend. If people what to know where we are we be walking on princess hwy all the way to Melbourne going thought all the town on Princess hwy. We couldn’t walk on the hwy from Adelaide to Murray Bridge because it was a Fwy and to dangerous for the team and I. Also the minister of transport told us we couldn’t walk on the Fwy. So we when the thought the back way to Murray Bridge town but now it safe from Murray Bridge on would to Melbourne.

Now another think came to mind that we have notest that there been division going on ever since we left Perth. The team, the admin team and my self what to let people know if people not getting a lone with someone we talking to or organizing think with them about the walk into town or city for a event. Also if the person trying to organize think with us and not working with a person that they don’t get a lone with put what to organize think with us. I going to let you know.

Don’t get angry with me,my team or my admin team because we are here on this walk to bring unity and here to work with both group on this walk. This walk is about working together on one goal and that is getting think done right for us all against a system who what to control us. We what unity not division so let make this work.

So please from my self, from my team and from my admin team if there any division going on, on where we are or who we going to work with now on, on this next couple month on where we walking. Please don’t put my self, my team and admin team and mainly my walk in between. We are here to work with everyone and here to make this right o.k guy cheers !!!

Day 234: 10am

As you may know that a week a go I put up a statues about me been nominated for award for National Indigenous for human rights. Well yesterday afternoon i give the NIHR a call to let them know that i couldn’t make it to Canberra by may 10 and that i must keep to the walk I’m doing. But they ask me to ask some one to go an be respective on my behalf go in Canberra to collected the award.

A lot of people may say why would you do that and not go. You should go and collected the human right award for courage because of what you a doing. Well for started I when on this walk in the first place to make a difference and to fight for justice for everyone.

Second of all I don’t need a award yet when we all know I have to finish this walk first before collecting a award like that manly a human right award for courage.

Three of all it dose not feel right going all the way to collected award where the walk finish. When I know i need to make sure I have to walk it there to finish the walk of.

In my heart I must stay true on what I believe and stay true to the people why I went on this walk in the first place. I don’t need a award for what I’m doing. I’m already been awarded thought this walk why because I get to meet beautiful people on this walk, talk with elders, kids and family, meet my people on they country area to talk about issues, walk on country to see the beautiful land and wildlife and most of all walk a cross a country in the foot step of my old people seen traditional time to make a stand for justice and for change.

[Guest Post] The man that Brotha Clinton is seated next too has spent the most part of his life, dedicated his life in fact to the restoration of Narungga and Kaurna culture and language.
He was a lecture at Tauondi for almost 30 years, ran his own classes teaching language and culture to his people. He did this with Mission School education. Not only did he teach it at Tauondi but took it out to our children in the schools, worked collaboratively with Councils around the Adelaide plains area to keep cultural/sacred sites safe and protected while also including the importance of these sites to the Kaurna and Narungga peoples. He laid our claim to this land with whites by protecting those sites, that we have been here thousands of years. He protected the proof of our existence and connection to dispel white myths.
He was the nucleus in establishing the Kaurna Cultural Living Centre which also includes Tjilburke Dreaming Story, Buthera’s Rock on Narungga land, Walk the York. All the language programs, and knowledge of how our lands was formed, plus many more programs to do with culture to many to name. This man, who is the only Narungga/Kaurna man alive today who is walking cultural library for Kaurna and Narungga. When our cultures was almost on the brink of extinction He gave its back its life. All those others that teach culture today can only teach because of him.
After all his dedication and commitment this year my father Kevin (Dookie) O’Loughlin will receive his Doctorate in Education and he deserves recognition for his life long endeavors. Although he is 70 he continues not only to promote our culture but also fights in the background for justice for his people. My family and I thank you for coming/passing through our country. My father said he is very proud of you and what your doing. – Ky Ky

Day 226: ANZAC Day

Day 226: 9.30am

Here today to payed my respect to those who die in the war thought out this world and the frontier war in this country it self. Anzac Day is a time when we honour all the men and women who have served Australia, many of whom made the ultimate sacrifice. But also Anzac should be a time on this day to remember those who die defending they land from the British invasion.

Anzac can be a day of remembering those who served defending this country thought out the war’s in the world and use as a day to remember those who die defending they country from invasion on this land we live on today.

Anzac can bring unity forward for both side. But our government and modern Australia tell us to get over it on this day and tell us to move forward from the past. But you wouldn’t like it if we told you to move forward from Anzac. When we should know in our heart we want unity and Anzac can be a day to remember people served defending this country from invasion an for those who served in the war thought out the world.

But if we keep on only remembering those on Anzac day who served Australia and not remember those from the frontier war. There be always division and no unity on Anzac day. It time we remember ever thing that happen in this country in the past from the frontier wars and remember those who served Australia it self to. It time for unity Australia so let make this happen.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have served in all of Australia’s major conflicts since the Boer War but have not always received the deserved recognition. Many returned not even to be counted as citizens… let alone be eligible for Government assistance and programs.

Today let’s take an extra moment to remember the sacrifice made by our First Peoples, the oldest living culture of the planet, and their contribution to defending our nation. Also remember those who served Australia in the war thought out the world it self together for unity.

So Lest we forget.
